The UEFA Champions League Round of 16 continued on March 11, 2025, with four decisive second-leg matches determining the first set of quarter-finalists.
Liverpool vs Paris Saint-Germain (PSG)

At Anfield, PSG overturned a 1-0 first-leg deficit by securing a 1-0 victory in regular time, thanks to Ousmane Dembélé's early goal. The aggregate score of 1-1 led to a penalty shootout, where PSG emerged victorious with a 4-1 margin. Gianluigi Donnarumma was instrumental, saving penalties from Darwin Núñez and Curtis Jones, ensuring PSG's progression to the quarter-finals. This victory sets up a quarter-final clash with either Aston Villa or Club Brugge, with Villa currently leading 3-1 ahead of their second-leg match.
Bayern Munich vs. Bayer Leverkusen

Bayern Munich continued their dominant form with a 2-0 away win against Bayer Leverkusen, completing a 5-0 aggregate triumph. Harry Kane opened the scoring in the 52nd minute, and Alphonso Davies added a second goal in the 71st minute. Bayern's defense remained solid throughout the match, despite sitting deeper than usual. Goalkeeper Jonas Urbig delivered an impressive performance, gaining trust and support from the club. This victory marked Bayern's control over Leverkusen this season, having allowed only two goals in four meetings. Bayern now awaits a challenging quarter-final against Inter Milan, who defeated Feyenoord with an aggregate score of 4-1.
Barcelona vs. Benfica

At Camp Nou, Barcelona secured a 3-1 victory over Benfica, advancing with a 4-1 aggregate score. Seventeen-year-old Lamine Yamal made history by becoming the youngest player to score and assist in a Champions League match. He opened the scoring, followed by two goals from Raphinha. Despite a goal from Nicolás Otamendi for Benfica, Barcelona maintained control to seal their spot in the quarter-finals.
Inter Milan vs. Feyenoord

Inter Milan confirmed their quarter-final berth with a 2-1 home victory over Feyenoord, resulting in a 4-1 aggregate scoreline. Marcus Thuram gave Inter an early lead, but Feyenoord equalized through a penalty before halftime. In the second half, Hakan Çalhanoğlu converted a penalty to restore Inter's advantage, which they maintained despite late pressure from the Dutch side.
These results highlight the intense competition and high stakes as Europe's elite clubs vie for the prestigious Champions League title.
